This was one of the first side projects I've made for friends. It was used as a guest book for their wedding.

The leather is Chieftain goat skin from J. Hewit & Sons Ltd. in the UK. The hardware is from Ohio Travel Bag. The corners were slightly modified.

The copper disk was simply cut from a sheet from a hobby store. The design was from clip art. I transferred it to the copper by using alcohol (acetone? - I don't recall). I put the laser print image against the disk and from the back of the paper applied the alcohol with a cotton ball.

The dimples in the copper were made one at a time with a hammer and nail. This took a long time.

The cover boards are 1/4 inch modeling plywood.

The paper was custom ruled in West Burlington, Iowa by Sue Pratt at Golden Business Forms.

The stamping was done with a Kensol stamper and a magnesium die. The design is more clip art with a little fine tuning.
