The outer sides are covered in Clansman Goat Skin from J. Hewit & Sons Ltd. in the UK. The interior sides are covered in red velvet.
The leather was glued down with PVA. The velvet was attached with...wait for it...carpet tape! It worked very well.

| This box was an inspired piece. It took about 12 to 15 hours. Each of the six outer sides is a separate piece. This made covering the sides easy but attaching the sides to each other required adding wire pins and the use of modeling glue.
